Delete Account Policy

We respect your right to privacy and data autonomy. Learn how to request permanent deletion of your BizVTU - Cheap Data account.

1. Introduction

At BizVTU - Cheap Data, we give our users complete autonomy over their personal data. This Delete Account Policy outlines how you can request the permanent removal of your account, login credentials, and personal details from our systems, in full compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), Google Play Store Developer Policies, and Apple App Store Guidelines.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request account and data deletion using either of the two official methods below:

Method 1: In-App Self-Service (Instant)
Open the BizVTU Mobile App → Navigate to Profile / Settings → Select Delete Account → Confirm with your transaction PIN.

Method 2: Email Request to Support Team
Send an email from your registered account email address to support@bizvtu.com with the subject: "Account Deletion Request".
Include your:
  • Registered Full Name
  • Registered Phone Number
  • Email Address

3. What Data Is Permanently Deleted

Upon verification and processing of your deletion request, the following information will be permanently removed from our active databases:

  • Authentication Credentials: Password hashes, transaction PINs, and active session tokens.
  • Personal Identifiers: Name, phone number, email address, and profile settings.
  • Device & Notification Tokens: Firebase/OneSignal push tokens and saved beneficiary phone numbers.
  • Cashback & Bonus Records: Accrued reward points and promotional wallet balances.

4. Regulatory Retention Exclusions

In accordance with Nigerian financial regulations (CBN/NDIC anti-money laundering and tax audit laws), financial transaction ledgers (e.g., historical records of bank deposits and VTU top-up reference IDs) are retained in anonymized, read-only audit archives for the legally mandated period. These records cannot be used to log in or identify you in active operations.

5. Processing Turnaround Time

Email-based deletion requests are verified and processed within 24 to 48 business hours. You will receive a final confirmation email once your account data has been completely expunged.

Important Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, any remaining wallet balance cannot be recovered. Please ensure your wallet balance is zero or withdrawn before initiating account deletion.
